Plantra Fertilizer packets provide “Protection through Nutrition” for newly planted trees or shrubs for 12 months. Its proprietary formula and slow release character increases a plants ability to produce compounds called “terpenes”. Terpenes provide a Natural Systemic Defense Barrier against herbivores including deer, elk, rodents, rabbits and squirrels.
DIRECTIONS
Place the Plantra Fertilizer Packet 1.5" (3 cm) to 2.0" (5 cm) apart from the seedling roots at a depth of 1" (2.5 cm) to 2" (5 cm). Locating the packet in an organic layer or next to organic debris can improve results.
APPLICATION RATES
1) Container Grown Seedlings: 1 packet per plug up to 12" (30 cm) of plant height. 1 packet for each additional 12" (30 cm).
2) Bare Root Seedlings: 1 packet per seedling up to 18" (45 cm) of plant height. 1 packet for each additional 12" (30 cm) of plant height.
*The Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, Magnesium and Sulfur Sources have been coated to provide 15.78% coated slow release Nitrogen, 4.8% coated slow release available Phosphate, 3.84% coated slow release soluble Potash, 8.4% coated slow release Sulfate & 1.2% coated slow release Magnesium.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Seedlings that have been subjected to stress, show low vigor or those that may experience extended periods of drought during the first growing season should have the Plantra Fertilizer Packet placed approximately 2" (5 cm) below or to the side of the roots.
